Nonprofit corporations and nonprofit limited liability companies (LLCs) must file an annual report with the Office of the Secretary of State on or before February 1 of each year. The first filing of the report is due in the year following the date your organization began, as stated in the articles of incorporation, articles of organization, or certificate of authority. Annual reports are submitted through the FirstStop Portal.
NOTE: The Nonprofit Annual Report and Charitable Organization Annual Report are 2 separate reports. A nonprofit with a charitable registration must file 2 reports each year with the Secretary of State - a Nonprofit Annual Report and a Charitable Organization Annual Report.
